Trigger HappyYongnuo RF-603 C3 remote flash triggers review
Hi every one just a quick note about a new set of flash triggers I bought from Ebay today. Now I had been wanting a set of triggers for a while now and had looked at what was available. Makes such as Pocket Wizard etc were beyond my means but I was impressed by the reviews of the Yongnuo flashes and triggers and especially the RF603s. Anyway I bid for a pair and they arrived today so I have only done a very basic test but all seems to work perfectly. Firstly I you have to open the battery compartment and set the channel switches on each to either 1,2,3 or 4 then fit 2 AAA batteries. There is a small on off switch on the top of each unit which once turned on show a green power light. Slide one into the camera hot shoe and slide the flash into the other. Turn on the camera and flash (you'll need to ensure the one with the flash is turned on before attaching to the flash as with speedlights the body of the flash hinders access to the on/off switch. Hey presto a half press of the camera shutter wakes the flash from sleep and a full press fires the flash. I have not checked the range but as the triggers operate using radio frequencies there should be no line of sight issues. One added benefit of the 603s is that they can be used to fire the camera shutter remotely using a cord which is included. make sure you order the right model for your camera. So all in all great value triggers which I look forward to using extensively. Comments
